Introductory Teaching
Harmonious greetings, virtuous greetings to everyone. Here I will delineate an explanation on Tenaga Dalam — Inner Power — techniques with 10 forms (Jurus).
Before that, it should be known that there is actually a certain Tenaga Dalam within the human body. Basically, Tenaga Dalam itself already exists in the anatomical system of the human body.
We can understand and analyze the effects that can emerge from Tenaga Dalam that we are conscious of. Tenaga Dalam often emerges suddenly at our distinct moments -- for example when we experience a very concerning or frightening situation.
For an example, when a dog is chasing us, we can run quickly, and we can even jump very high without realizing. However when we are paying attention, we can't accomplish it just like that, because this exceeds the average limit of our running speed and our leaping ability. With intention, it's impossible.
Thus, we will examine a type of technique, in a process of searching for that, by which we can feel and utilize the effects contained within our bodies.
Our body consists of various forms of energy. There's common energy that we can engage with methods and movements, or by walking and running and so on with awareness, but there is no exceeding effect.
Then, we create a moment here for that effect to be present and accomplished. This requires a process of training in ways of creating reactions, in means for the energy in our body -- called Tenaga Dalam -- to be released and generated with our awareness. We should wish to practice and train ourselves to manifest that process, giving it conscious form and being able to utilize it.
The function of Tenaga Dalam itself exists in particular regions, specifically in the plexus area around the navel. In the navel there is a storage of veiled energy – energy that has been stored. There will be formation from our creation, our hopes, our wishes. There we must cultivate and practice.
Initially, for the first effective means, by absorption with the breath via the nose, we retain the breath in a kind of stomach in the plexus around the navel. Here we store, for example to the count of eight seconds. Drawing a deep breath, we retain, we enter it into the system in the abdomen.
For initial exercise, we store for more or less eight seconds. After the count of eight, one two three, until eight we retain, and then we release in balance, the same — one two, from the mouth, to the count of eight seconds too. This is the initial process.
Later we can balance this with the process of our retaining ability, exhaling via the mouth again with balance, with the same means of retention and release. This is the means for the initial process, where we feel the function in the effect that exists in the body as we release the breath from the abdomen, exhaling via the mouth in a balanced and equal manner.
As we train, our daily practice will yield an effect that is, first, health. Second, it can heal whatever processes of disease are within our bodies. Then, it is also effective. We convey to others the Tenaga Dalam in our bodies that can be given. We give our energy to the energy of other people, or creatures. This can be used for healing, with the means of fulfilment in the point where we can feel retention in ourselves, followed by expulsion.
In here, what is the aim? It depends on our thought process. We can utilize the energetic function in Tenaga Dalam for anything, referencing a particular system within our thoughts. However for this matter, for anything, training is required, and thus we will examine the training process in the Tenaga Dalam movements that we direct.
There are 10 forms (jurus) for the first basic level. Here we will cultivate the breath with certain movements. The movements here are very effective and useful in our creation, in our aspiration, so that in the process between movement, breath, and the rhythm of thoughts, everything is in balance.
Don't be hasty in such practice. Do not generate a reaction from Tenaga Dalam towards super-powers (kesaktian). But first, for health, for helping with healing. You can even control any and all thoughts. Our hearts will become clean and pure. With this as the basis, we can study these techniques.
All right, so much for now, for what can be briefly shared on the matter of understanding and the control of breath, the combination of breathing with particular movements. In upcoming teachings, we will be demonstrating movements and techniques of breathing with the jurus movements.
